Pallet Strapping Machine - VP3 for Sheet Glass A famous British Glass Manufacturer had strapping applications throughout the plant and asked for Strap Poka strapping machine that could be moved as and when the need arose in the various production areas.  Prior to purchasing the VP3 Strapping machine packs of glass weighing more than one tonne were delivered by FLT to a strapping ‘station’ where three straps were manually applied by another operator.. With the VP3 strapper, straps are pre-draped from the top gantry  and the pack is driven into the straps and and lowered onto the unit, simultaneously placing three straps around the pack. The FLT driver then tensions and seals the straps, using a battery powered friction weld tool, completing the operation in less than 30 seconds. For strapping in other locations the unit is relocated using the FLT. Payback on the Strap-Poka was less than three months as a result of the immediate saving in labor .
